Invitation Packages, including detailed information about the reunion and the registration forms, have been put together and several were mailed out this past weekend. The rest should be in the mail this week. If for any reason you don't receive your Invitation Package by March 30th, please contact your Family Representative right away and we will send you another one.

We have made arrangements for group discount tickets at Fort Edmonton Park where the world looks as it did in 1909 when our ancestors arrived in Canada. Find out what they had to deal with and live like as pioneers. We have also found a caterer who will do a picnic lunch, complete with potato salad and watermelon, in a private picnic area in the Park. Be ready for a fun afternoon Scavenger Hunt. With prizes!

Our MacMillan cousins who own and operate Cowan Graphics have assigned a professional artist to develop our own McKenna Reunion logo. The logo will represent the three family streams and our Celtic heritage. Once it is completed, we will update the website. Stay tuned.

After much searching and comparing we have placed a deposit on a venue for the reunion - the Pleasantview Community Hall. Thank you to John Ball for the suggestion. It's a great building in a lovely setting and will easily accommodate all our family and planned activities. See the Location page. CLICK HERE

We have confirmed a highly-recommended and reasonably priced catering company to prepare a BBQ for Saturday evening August 1st at the community centre. Special dietary concerns? No problem, our caterer can easily handle special requests. Just mention your preferences when registering. CLICK HERE

Blocks of hotel rooms, in two different price ranges, all within easy access to the community hall and other great Edmonton attractions have been set aside for out-of-town guests. We have viewed these rooms personally ad believe you will be most comfortable whichever you choose. We also have a limited number of RV parking spots identified. See the Accommodations page. Our team of reunion organizers is growing! In addition to a family representative for each clan, we have people handling different aspects of the reunion: Webmaster and Reunion Team
Co-ordinator, Treasurer, Registration, Volunteer Co-ordinator, Activities Co-ordinator, and the Genealogy Project Team. There are several other areas of pre-reunion planning that need co-ordination and several smaller volunteer tasks to be done during the reunion itself.
